100 Hole Hike
On October 20th, five golfers will be playing 100 holes of golf to fundraise for the Oyate Hope Academy. Oyate Hope Academy meets the educational and social-emotional needs of Lakota students through a rigorous academic program that unites the mind, heart, and spirit.
Their vision is to see students awakening to their God-given potential and embracing their capabilities to positively impact themselves, their families, and their community.

God has blessed OHA again with an awesome group of his servants for the new school year. Like last year, we continue to operate out of the Rec Center while we eagerly await the completion our new building. As we enter a new year, our oldest cohort is now grade 5. Each one of our classes is maxed out with seven students. When finished, our new building will provide enough space to accommodate 8-10 students per class. This fall, in an effort to help our students process and heal from adverse events, we are focusing each morning on several basic Bible verses that we use to reinforce to our students their value and worth to God. One such verse is Isaiah 43:1b “..Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine.” To know and understand that each one of us is intimately known by our Creator helps us begin to grasp our significance to our loving heavenly Father.
Meet Bart Wear, our new OHA Building Project Manager.
Recently, Bart spent much of his career leading a global industrial construction firm before sensing God’s call to start Homes of Living Hope. What began as a way to build facilities for communities in need quickly became something more - God used the process to draw the under-churched into the body of Christ. Through that work, Bart connected with Oyate Hope Academy. He holds fast to Ephesians 2:10, believing we are created in Christ Jesus and prepared in advance for the work He calls us to do. That conviction has shaped his simple but powerful life question: “What can I do?” Bart loves having a front-row seat to watch God work and is eager to see Him move mightily through this project. He looks forward to connecting with others along the way and prays this process will be a blessing in their lives.
Join us in praying with Oyate Hope Academy:
•Pray for the upcoming school year; may God stir the hearts of our students as He draws them to Himself.
• Pray for our building project, that God will continue to provide resources and labor.
• Praise God for providing us with a Project Manager for our building project.
• Praise God for a successful start of our fall semester.
